Apple is preparing an updated iPad 11 and iPad mini 7

Earlier this year, after a long lull, Apple unveiled new tablets: the iPad Pro and iPad Air. But we're still waiting for the updated iPad and iPad mini.

Here's What We Know

An insider found confirmations in Apple's server code that the company is working on new models. Most likely, these are the new products that will be presented in autumn:

• iPad15,7 - iPad 11th generation (Wi-Fi)
• iPad15,8 - 11th generation iPad (Wi-Fi + cellular)
• iPad16,1 - iPad mini 7 (Wi-Fi)
• iPad16,2 - iPad mini 7 (Wi-Fi + cellular)

According to identifiers, the 11th generation iPad will feature an A16 processor. In comparison, the 10th generation model has an A14. And the new iPad mini 7 will get an A17 chip. Hopefully, Apple will opt for an A17 Pro processor so that the tablet can handle the new Apple Intelligence artificial intelligence features.

In addition, there are four mentions of "iPad 17" in the code, which appears to refer to the iPad Pro with the M5 chip. This tablet is likely to be released sometime in 2025 or early 2026.
