WayForward is preparing for several upcoming releases, including Clock Tower: Rewind, Yars Rising, and Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution. Now, Sigma Star Saga, scheduled for release in 2025 for modern consoles and PCs, joins this list.

Here's What We Know

During the developer panel at Anime Expo 2024, it was announced that the updated version of Sigma Star Saga is powered by Limited Run Games' Carbon Engine. Although it is not a sequel, the development teams hinted that a sequel is possible "in the future". Like Risky Revolution, Sigma Star Saga will be available on a cartridge for the Game Boy Advance.

Originally released for the Game Boy Advance in August 2005, Sigma Star Saga combines side-scrolling shooter action with overhead role-playing gameplay.

Players take on the role of Earth Alliance pilot Ian Recker, who acts as a double agent for the Krell Empire. The game includes six planets to explore and over 70 items to customise your ship.
