Ghost of Tsushima became the best-selling game in May in the US, and PlayStation 5 became the most popular console

We wrote that Ghost of Tsushima became one of the best-selling games in Europe in May. And now we've learned about the success of the samurai action game in the United States.

Here's What We Know

The analytical agency Circana has shown the best-selling games in the last month of spring 2024 in the United States.

The first place was taken by Ghost of Tsushima. Back in April, it was at 71, but the PC port dramatically changed the situation.

The second place is taken by Nintendo's new title Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.

The third, fourth, and fifth places went to Helldivers 2, COD: MW III and MLB: The Show 2024.

In terms of consoles, PlayStation 5 remains the best-selling console of the month in terms of units sold and dollar value. Nintendo Switch was second in terms of unit sales and Xbox Series X/S was second in terms of dollar sales.

For the first 43 months on the market, PlayStation 5 sales are 8% ahead of PlayStation 4 sales, while Xbox Series is 13% ahead of Xbox One and slightly behind Xbox 360.
