We wrote that in February 2024, Metro Awakening, a single-player VR game not developed by 4A Games, was shown for the first time at State of Play. Now it has become known that the game will be available in Ukrainian.

Here's What We Know

On the Metro Awakening page on Steam , Ukrainian was added to the list of languages supported by the game. It is noted that the VR shooter will have a textual Ukrainian localisation. Given that all Metro games have Ukrainian, adding it to Awakening is the right decision, as we remember that there are not many games with Ukrainian.

We would like to remind you that the game is not the main title in the Metro series, as Awakening is set in 2028. And it is not developed by the Ukrainian studio 4A Games, but by the Dutch Vertigo Games, which is known for the Arizona Sunshine series.

Players will take on the role of Serdar, a doctor who challenges the darkness, radiation, and deadly threats of the Moscow metro in search of his wife and the medicine she needs.

When We Can Expect It

Metro Awakening will be released in 2024 and will be available on Steam VR, PS VR2, and Meta Quest 2 and 3.
