Expect an evolution in design and functionality in the upcoming iPhone 17 Slim
Apple is planning to refresh its upcoming iPhone 17 smartphone range by replacing the 'Plus' model with a new 'Slim' model and a lot of changes are expected in the new model.
Here's What We Know
According to the latest reports, the iPhone 17 Slim will be thinner and lighter than the current models and will get an aluminium body. A design feature will be a horizontal camera layout reminiscent of the Pixel 8, although Apple recently reverted to a vertical layout to support spatial video. It's unclear if this feature will remain with the new camera layout.
At the front, the smartphone will get a narrower Dynamic Island, possibly due to the use of smaller elements for the Face ID sensor. It is reported that the design of the iPhone 17 Slim will be something similar to the iPhone X.
The novelty will get a 6.55-inch screen, occupying an intermediate position between the standard and Pro models. It also became known that iPhone 17 Slim will support high refresh rate of 120Hz, becoming the first non-Pro model in the history of iPhone with such a feature. The base model of the iPhone 17 series may also get 120Hz. Rumoured models will have an adaptive refresh rate like the Pro models, automatically adjusting it depending on the content being displayed.
