According to new satellite imagery, Iran has been able to significantly expand its ballistic missile production facilities by expanding production at military sites.

Here's What We Know

In April this year, about 30 new buildings were spotted at the Modarres military base. According to Reuters, the construction of new facilities in Modarres began in October last year, and work was also spotted in Khojira, which began in August 2023.

The publication spoke anonymously to three Iranian officials who confirmed that both bases are being expanded to increase ballistic missile production. It is worth noting that Iran currently has about 300 missiles, including those designed to carry nuclear warheads. At the same time, it is not yet known what types of ballistic missiles will be produced at the new facilities.

Interestingly, some of the newly constructed facilities will allegedly also affect the pace of drone production. According to Iranian sources, missiles are planned to be supplied to Hezbollah terrorists, while drones and missile components are to be supplied to Russia.
