Monthly UK games and consoles sales chart: Elden Ring sales up 467% and DualSense is the most popular console accessory

2.53 million games were sold in the UK in June, down almost 14% from 2023. Here's a look at what players bought the most in the first month of summer.

Among the games people bought the most were EA Sports FC 24, GTA V, and F1 24. Elden Ring is in fourth place. The game became very popular again thanks to the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion pack. Sales grew by 467% compared to the previous month, which helped the game to gain a foothold in the 4th place, and Hogwarts Legacy rounds out the top five.

6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 places went to Sid Meier's Civilization 6, Red Dead Redemption 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Grand Theft Auto Online, and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege.

In June, console sales slightly decreased by 9% compared to the same period in 2023. Back then, 99 thousand consoles were sold. However, console accessories had very good sales in June. We sold 655,000 accessories. This is 16% more than in the same period in 2023. This was driven by active promotions for the DualSense gamepad. The first 4 places in sales are occupied by PlayStation 5 gamepads.

GfK CEO Dorian Bloch said that as many additional DualSense controllers were sold as PS5s, which means that the average PS5 buyer has one additional gamepad.
