Closed beta testing of the Age of Mythology: Retold strategy will take place this coming weekend

World's Edge studio announced beta testing of Age of Mythology: Retold - remaster of the famous real-time strategy game from 2002.

Here's What We Know

To be among the first to try out the game, you need to pre-order the Premium edition of Age of Mythology: Retold.

Closed Beta testing will begin on 12 July at 20:00 (CEST) and will end at 08:59 (CEST) on 15 July.

Players will have the opportunity to receive training, learn about the Greek, Scandinavian and Egyptian pantheons of gods and complete the five initial missions of the Fall of the Trident campaign. Multiplayer and Skirmish mode (Skirmish) will be available in the beta.

The developers warn that many elements of the game may have an unfinished look or may not function at all, as it is for the purpose of identifying problems and beta-testing. It is known that some localisations will not work in the game, and cross-play between the Microsoft Store and Steam may be complicated.

When We Can Expect It

Age of Mythology: Retold is scheduled for release on 4 September 2024 on PC and Xbox Series, and the game will be available on Game Pass.
