The new iPhone 16 could get an under-screen Face ID
Apple is rumoured to be developing an improved Face ID design for its upcoming iPhone series. While there is no concrete information about the new Face ID design yet, it is reported that these changes have affected Apple's vendor partners.
Here's What We Know
After semiconductor company Coherent hinted that Apple had severed its relationship with it, there were rumours that Pro models could come with an under-screen Face ID sensor. However, there are reports claiming that an updated Face ID feature may not arrive until 2025. Nevertheless, the iPhone 16 series may get some new Face ID features, although the major update is expected next year.
How true these rumours are, will probably be revealed at the presentation of Apple's new iPhone 16 lineup, which is expected to take place in September.
