Google Maps has finally got speedometer and speed limit support for iOS and CarPlay

Google has added useful new features to its Maps app for iOS and CarPlay.

We are talking about support for speedometer, as well as speed limits on the roads. These functions appeared on Android devices five summers ago, but now they can also be used by iPhone owners.

You can switch on the speedometer in the app's settings. Depending on the region, it will display km/h or mph. As for the speed limit function, it will be displayed on the speedometer in red colour.

By the way, Google notes that the speedometer readings in the app are "for informational use only," so you should always rely on your car's speedometer.

When We Can Expect It

Innovations are being added to the app server-side. The new features will be available to everyone soon.
