Honor trolled the Samsung Galaxy Fold 6 for not being slim enough
A couple of days ago, on 10 July, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Fold 6, which is thinner compared to the previous model. But Honor is already trying to shift attention to the announcement of its foldable Magic V3 model, trolling the novelty from Samsung.
Here's What We Know
The Galaxy Fold 6 is 5.6mm thick when open and 12.1mm thick when closed. Honor, a former Huawei sub-brand, didn't miss the opportunity to tease the competitor by posting a tweet with an image of the Galaxy Fold 6 and its Magic V2, which is 16 per cent thinner when open and 22 per cent thinner when closed.
The Magic V2 is 4.7mm thick when open and 9.9mm when closed, making it one of the thinnest foldable smartphones on the market. That said, the model isn't without its flaws - it lacks water and dust protection, and there's no wireless charging.
Honor has now introduced an even thinner Magic V3, which supports wireless charging and has IPX8 water and dust protection. Unlike the Galaxy Fold 6, the Magic V2 has a 5,000mAh battery and weighs less. Honor's tweet was aimed at diverting attention away from Samsung's presentation and attracting interest in the launch of its new product.
