Team Asobi's Astro Bot will offer a huge variety of levels when it launches this September, and the developers have repeatedly emphasised how big the game is, but it was originally meant to be a different shape.

Here's What We Know

According to Nicholas Doucet, creative director of Astro Bot and head of Team Asobi, in the initial stages of development, Astro Bot was planned as an open-world game. Doucet said that in the end, it was decided to use a level structure because "it gave us the most control over the game's variety."

Where To Play

Upon release, Astro Bot will be available only on PlayStation 5.

When We Can Expect It

The game will be released on the 6th of September.
