Gnome Project adds support for accent colours in Gnome 47 Alpha

The GNOME Project has announced the release of the alpha version of GNOME 47, inviting public testing of new features and improvements.

Major updates include support for accent colours, multi-touch gestures on the touchpad, and improvements to lock screen notifications. The Epiphany web browser now has gesture navigation and a dark reading mode setting.

GNOME 47 also improves the user setup process and significantly enhances the Orca screen reader with better Wayland support.

The final release is expected on 18 September 2024, with beta and release candidates to follow in August.
