Last week, Samsung introduced One UI 6.1.1 alongside the Galaxy Flip 6 and Galaxy Fold 6. Some of these features will soon be available on older devices. One of these options is AstroPortrait, which will be available for Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S24.

Here's What We Know

AstroPortrait is a camera mode that allows you to take portrait shots with the night sky in the background. This feature will be available with the Expert RAW update and will also require a software update to One UI 6.1.1.

AstroPortrait is not currently expected to be available for Galaxy Flip 5 and Galaxy Fold 5.

AstroPortrait is part of the Expert RAW app that allows you to take portrait shots with a clear human face and a blurred night sky in the background. The long shutter speed makes the sky brighter in such images, and stars, planets and other space objects are more clearly visible.

This feature debuted on the Galaxy Flip 6 and Galaxy Fold 6 and is likely to be compatible only with flagship phones powered by Exynos 2400, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy or Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 For Galaxy processors.
