Counter-Strike is losing ground: the cult shooter has dropped out of the top three most profitable free-to-play games on Steam
Here is a weekly review of the Steam digital shop sales chart, which reflects the current interests of gamers.
Here's What We Know
There were no significant changes among paid Steam products over the past week, except for the fact that the Steam Deck handheld console took the first place, which overtook the ultra-popular Elden Ring game in terms of profitability.
Hugely popular hits such as Baldur's Gate 3, Cyberpunk 2077, GTA V, RDR 2 and Forza Horizon 4, which, remember, will soon be taken off the market.
Gamers are actively pre-ordering the Chinese action game Black Myth: Wukong.
The full list of the ten most profitable Steam products from 9 to 16 July looks like this:
- Steam Deck
- Elden Ring
- Baldur's Gate 3
- Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree
- Chained Together
- Cyberpunk 2077
- Grand Theft Auto V
- Black Myth: Wukong
- Red Dead Redemption 2
- Forza Horizon 4
Much more interesting this time was the top three most profitable free-to-play games of the week. The eternal leader Counter-Strike 2 was placed on the fourth place, behind PUBG, Dota 2 and Korean novelty - shooter The First Descendant, which attracted more than ten million gamers in the first week.
