Asus has announced a new ROG Azoth Extreme keyboard for the price of an RTX 4070 graphics card
Asus has announced a new keyboard ROG Azoth Extreme, which has a similar design to its predecessor, but has a significantly higher price - $499. This amount is comparable to the cost of the RTX 4070 graphics card.
Here's What We Know
The novelty is equipped with 81 quick-release keys with "ROG NX" switches and a colour OLED-display in the upper right corner. The keyboard body is made of aluminium, and for connectivity all options are available: Bluetooth, wired and wireless connection. Underneath the OLED display is a mini pen that can be customised using the Armoury software.
The ROG Azoth Extreme keyboard weighs 2,200 grams along with the wrist rest, making it one of the heaviest keyboards on the market. It also has an impressive 8000Hz polling rate in both wired and wireless modes, which is well above the 1000Hz of its predecessor. The polling frequency determines how often the keyboard transmits data to the computer and 8,000 Hz for a keyboard is really high considering that many mice on the market have a polling frequency of around 10,000 Hz.
