HMD Skyline is the first Android smartphone on the market to support Qi2 magnetic charging

HMD unveiled the Skyline a couple of hours ago. As it turns out, it is the first Android smartphone on the market that supports the new Qi2 charging standard.

Here's What We Know

Qi2 is Qi's next-generation wireless charging technology that incorporates a magnetic power profile. Qi2 devices work with accessories that support Apple MagSafe charging.

The Qi2 standard allows you to charge gadgets with up to 15W of power. Apart from this, it also boasts of 5W reverse charging.

Incidentally, the HMD Skyline comes with a 4,600mAh battery. Apart from magnetic wireless charging, the new product also has a wired one with 33W of power.
