Pixel Watch users will soon be able to track their devices remotely, even if the watch isn't connected to a network or paired with any device. This feature utilises the Find My Device network capabilities, similar to those already available in iOS.

Here's What We Know

The feature already works with Android phones and tablets, as well as some trackers. Experts at 9to5Google discovered that the feature will also appear on the Pixel Watch by analysing the code of the Pixel Watch app. They found lines in the code that indicate the development of the "Find My Watch" feature.

This feature will allow you to remotely find, lock and wipe data from your watch, even if it is offline. This is possible through the use of other devices connected to the Find My Device network. Google is likely to extend this functionality to other Wear OS devices as well, as the Find My Device network utilises Google Play Services, allowing a wide range of devices to be connected.
