Google has announced that goo․gl links, which are used to shorten URLs, will stop working on 25 August 2025.

Here's What We Know

The company stopped generating new goo․gl links back in March 2019, and in 2021, it stopped analytics and management for all users.

Starting 23 August 2024, Google will start displaying an intermediate page "This link will no longer work in the near future" when clicking on a goo․gl link. Users will be able to go to the landing page by clicking "Continue" with the "Don't show again" option.

Google recommends that developers migrate their goo․gl links to other platforms, such as Firebase Dynamic Links, as soon as possible.
