Amazon has released a statement emphasising that the TV series 'The Goonies' is not an endorsement of real-world violence, following the recent shooting at a Donald Trump rally.

The series The Boys is known for its analogies to real-life political figures and Amazon's decision to insist that these parallels are coincidental is questionable. The company is keen to avoid becoming embroiled in the political drama surrounding the US presidential election and being accused of inciting violence. Amazon doesn't want one of its most popular shows to become embroiled in current political events, so it wants to protect itself in advance.
