The first footage of Dexter: Original Sin, the prequel to the cult series about the famous serial killer, has been released

The drama series Dexter has a lot of fans and many of them are probably looking forward to its prequel.

About the fact that the film companies Showtime and Counterpart film series "Dexter: Original Sin" (Dexter: Original Sin) became known in early 2023, but only now the authors have shared the first shots.

Here's What We Know

The action of the series "Dexter: Original Sin" will unfold in Miami in 1991, when a young medical student Dexter has not yet become a serial killer, but already feels a craving for blood. He tries to learn to control his inner demons, but his father, who is a police officer, realises that it is unlikely that his son will be able to cope with himself. The father, whose role is played by Christian Slater, instils Dexter with a special code, according to which he can only kill criminals and teaches him how not to get caught by the police.

In the shown photos you can see a brooding Dexter, played by Patrick Gibson, and in another image his character is apparently about to kill a bound man.

When We Can Expect It

Dexter: Original Sin is expected to premiere by the end of 2024. The series will be streamed on the Paramount+ streaming service.

In 2022, Showtime aired the mini-series Dexter: New Blood, which showed how the story of the famous serial killer ended.
