We have already reported that on 15 August Crytek studio will release the biggest update for the popular online shooter Hunt: Showdown, which will introduce a huge number of changes, transfer the game to a new version of the CryEngine engine - 5.11 and put a stop to the availability of the game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Users of these platforms who bought the game will be able to get the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series version of Showdown for free and update the game if they have these devices.

The developers have officially confirmed that the update will be so massive that Hunt: Showdown will be subtitled 1896. Its hidden meaning is that originally the events of the game develop in 1895, and the patch will make so many changes that will symbolically advance the events of the game a year ahead.

Crytek hasn't revealed the details of the update yet, but it is known that thanks to the new engine, the game will have new features, improved performance and better graphics.
