Virtual dice let Larian Studios down: testing of the seventh patch for Baldur's Gate 3 urgently postponed
A major seventh update for the RPG Baldur's Gate 3 was supposed to be tested today (22 July), but the developers ran into unforeseen circumstances.
Here's What We Know
Larian Studios reported that in the process of fixing bugs, it was unexpectedly discovered that one of the main mechanics of Baldur's Gate III - the virtual dice roll - stopped functioning. Without this option, most elements of the game simply do not function, and the cause of the problem has not yet been determined.
The developers apologise and promise to conduct closed testing at the end of this week, the exact date will be announced later.
For now, Larian Studios offers a look at the main features of Patch 7, including bug fixes, minor bug fixes, and additional staged scenes for some characters. But the main innovation will be a full-fledged editor of custom modifications, thanks to which players will be able to create entire stories on their own.
