Slack has released an update for the iPhone that adds four new widgets: three for the Home screen and one for the Lock screen. These new widgets are designed to make Slack on iPhone more convenient and accessible.

Here's What's New About It

  • The Catch Up widget on the Home screen shows you how many unread messages and mentions you have. Tap it to go straight to Slack and start catching up.
  • The Status widget on the Home screen is available in two sizes: small and medium. It lets you quickly jump to your Slack status or choose from a predefined menu to let you know you're focused, taking a break, or eating lunch.
  • The Lock Screen widget on the lock screen lets you switch to Slack with a single tap without having to search for the app on your home screen.

How To Switch It On

  • Make sure you're using the latest version of the Slack app for iOS.
  • Hold down the Home screen or lock screen.
  • Find and add new Slack widgets.
