Apple today released new developer betas of watchOS 11, tvOS 18, and visionOS 2. These updates give developers the opportunity to test and tweak their apps before the public release of Apple's new operating systems in September.

Here's What We Know

watchOS 11

The new watchOS 11 beta includes the new Vitals app, which allows users to track their heart rate, ECG, and blood oxygen levels on one page. The Fitness app has also been updated with new workout features and better integration with Health. In addition, the Smart Stack feature has been improved to make it more personalised and convenient.

tvOS 18

tvOS 18 adds a new feature called InSight, which uses machine learning to analyse the content a user is watching and provide relevant information such as actors, directors and music. Dialogue and subtitles have also been improved, making the TV more accessible for people with hearing impairments.

visionOS 2

visionOS 2 includes the new Bora Bora environment, which provides a more immersive virtual reality experience. It also includes new gestures for accessing the home view and control centre, as well as keyboard occlusion, which hides the virtual keyboard when not in use.

How to install beta versions

Developers enrolled in the Apple Developer Program can download the beta versions of watchOS 11, tvOS 18, and visionOS 2 from the Apple Developer portal.

Public release

watchOS 11, tvOS 18, and visionOS 2 are expected to be released this autumn.
