The Belarusian special forces unit Vityaz is actively using a captured Ukrainian armoured vehicle Kozak-5. The footage was published on the telegram channel of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus.

Here's What We Know

The vehicle was demonstrated during a ceremony dedicated to the completion of the Vityaz's combat cohesion. This armoured vehicle probably came to Belarus as a trophy vehicle that the Russians took with them when they retreated from northern Ukraine.

It is also possible that the Kozak-5 could have entered Belarus a little later, in 2023, along with units of the Wagner PMC, which were transferred there after the failed Prigozhin coup.

Recently, a similar situation has already been recorded when the Belarusian territorial defence used another Ukrainian armoured vehicle, the KrAZ Cobra. This vehicle, which had been repainted black, was seen at the Osipovitski training ground belonging to the 51st Guards Artillery Brigade.
