WhatsApp is testing a new feature that will allow users to transfer files between Android and iOS without the internet. The feature will work similarly to Apple's AirDrop, but will also allow users to transfer files between iPhones and Android devices.
Here's How It Works
- iOS users will see a QR code that they need to scan on their Android device.
- Once connected, users will be able to transfer files to each other.
- The file transfer will be done via Wi-Fi Direct, so no internet connection is required.
This option will be useful for:
- Transferring files to friends and family who are nearby.
- Saving data when mobile traffic is limited.
- Transferring files in places with poor internet connection.
This feature is expected to be available in the next update of WhatsApp for iOS and Android. In order to be able to use the new changes, you need to download the latest version of WhatsApp.
