Xiaomi Smart Band 8 has received a major HyperOS update

Xiaomi, despite having recently unveiled the Smart Band 9, continues to improve the previous model of the device.

The manufacturer has released a major new update for the Smart Band 8. The firmware has been released with the HyperOS 1.6.222 number and is only available for device users in China for now.

With the system update, the Smart Band 8 has received a lot of innovations. For instance, the gadget now supports Focus Notifications. It was previously available in the Smart Band 8 Pro. The feature allows users to prioritise notifications of certain apps. Apart from this, the update also brings support for paid watch faces.

Xiaomi has also fixed a lot of bugs in the system and improved the stability of the device.
