Google yesterday, 24 July, announced significant updates to the Play Store to include artificial intelligence (AI) features.

Here's What We Know

The new features will allow Android users to find and compare apps more efficiently. The AI will analyse and display app reviews, highlighting key points, as well as help users compare apps in similar categories.

Google is also introducing curated spaces called "Collections" where users will be able to find apps based on their interests. A new "Personalisation in Play" feature will allow users to customise access to app data.

Google is also banking on games, adding the ability to multi-select interest filters to find new games. Google Play Games users on PCs will be able to play multiple games simultaneously in different windows, similar to the split-screen feature on a smartphone.

The Play Points rewards programme is also getting updates, including weekly super prizes for gold, platinum and diamond members who can win Pixel devices, Razer products and other hardware.
