Sharp has announced the launch of its new M Series projectors, developed in partnership with NEC. These models are equipped with laser light sources and DLP technology, which reduces the need for maintenance and extends the life of the devices.

Here's What We Know

The new models, the Sharp XP-M421W-W and XP-M401H-W, are the successors to the NC603L and NC1503L projectors that were introduced in 2023. Thanks to laser light sources from Texas Instruments, these devices do not require frequent lamp and filter changes, which reduces maintenance costs.

The XP-M421W-W has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, while the XP-M401H-W offers a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The XP-M401H-W is equipped with HDMI 1.4b and HDCP 1.4, while the XP-M421W-W has HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 ports. Both models have a maximum brightness of 4000 lumens.

The M-Series projectors are designed with sustainability in mind: their compact design reduces packaging, which reduces waste and improves logistics efficiency. In addition, the ECO mode reduces power consumption and extends the projector's lifespan to 20,000 hours.

Pricing for the new projectors starts at US$1,049 for the XP-M401H-W and US$1,269 for the XP-M421W-W. They are available now from Sharp's official website and will be available at retailers such as Amazon.
