Amazon has revealed an exciting trailer for the second season of The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power series

Amazon's Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power series is returning with a second season. A lengthy trailer was unveiled at Comic-Con that gives a glimpse of what to expect from the second season of the series.

According to Amazon, the new season will focus on the return of Sauron. "Banished by Galadriel, without an army or allies, the ascendant Dark Lord must now rely on his cunning to regain his powers and oversee the creation of the Rings of Power. They will allow him to subjugate all the peoples of Middle-earth to his sinister will," the creators explain. In addition, the new season will feature the giant spider Shelob, the forest guardians Ents and the demonic creature Balrog.

The second season of "The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power" will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on 29 August.
