Chromebooks will soon have an instant notification feature similar to the one on Android. Last year, Android 14 introduced an option that flashes the screen or camera when you have a new notification or alarm. Now this innovation is coming to Chrome OS.

Here's What We Know

A new customisation feature allows Chromebooks to flash the screen twice in light yellow whenever there is a new notification. While this feature is currently disabled by default, users can activate it by checking the "screen flash accessibility feature for each notification" box.

This update will increase accessibility for owners who may not be able to hear audible notifications. There is no option to select the flash colour or customise it through the interface yet. These options are expected to be added in future updates.

Thus, Chromebook users will get a convenient and useful tool for visual notifications, which will increase their efficiency and usability.
