Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, 2K OLED LTPO 120Hz display and 5020 mAh battery with 80W charging: Nio Phone 2 unveiled in China
Nio has unveiled its new smartphone Nio Phone 2 at an event in Shanghai. It looks like Nio is following its plan of releasing phones on a yearly cycle and even ahead of schedule, considering that the first Nio Phone was released in September last year.
Here's What We Know
The smartphone looks similar to its predecessor and has been given powerful specs. The device features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and a 6.82-inch OLED LTPO display from Samsung with 120Hz refresh rate and Ultra HDR support. The phone also includes a 48 MP Sony LYT-T808 main camera, a 48 MP Sony IMX882 ultra wide-angle camera and a 50 MP Sony IMX890 periscopic telephoto camera with 2.6x zoom. The device features an under-display fingerprint scanner and a 5020 mAh battery with support for 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The phone is available in a variety of colours and finishes including glass, leather and ceramic.
The Nio Phone 2 has got integration with most of the company's cars, supports NFC dongle and also has a dedicated button on the left edge to control connected car features. The Nio Link feature allows the phone to interact with the car's infotainment system. The support is now extended to include more applications for the phone, including a gallery, file manager and various office programmes.
The Nio Phone 2 starts at 6,499 yuan (about $896 USD) in China.
