Amazon's film division has unveiled the first teaser of Like a Dragon: Yakuza, which will be an adaptation of the debut game in the series Yakuza (2005).

Here's What We Know

The teaser does not allow to draw conclusions about the series, as most of it is devoted to a detailed demonstration of the back tattoos of the main character Kazuma Kiryu, whose role will be played by Ryoma Takeuchi. However, it is known that the events of the series will unfold in two time periods: in 1995, when Kazuma was a teenager, and in 2005, when he became a full-fledged member of the Yakuza and even managed to serve time in prison.

Like Ryu Ga Gotoku's Yakuza, the series will be set in the fictional Kamurochō district of Tokyo, which resembles the real-life Kabukichō district.

When We Can Expect It

Like a Dragon: Yakuza will be released on 24 October on the Prime Video streaming service. Viewers will be treated to three episodes on the premiere day, and there will be six episodes in total.
