Meta-owned WhatsApp continues to integrate with the company's other platforms such as Messenger and Instagram. The latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android (2.24.16.7) includes a new feature to respond to messages with a double tap.

Here's What We Know

The feature allows users to quickly respond to messages by double-tapping on them, which automatically adds a heart emoji. If users want to use a different emoji, they will need to tap and hold on the message to open the full emoji menu.

The new feature is still in development and will likely be available in a future update to the app. It is expected that iOS users will also be able to utilise the feature soon. This update makes it easier to interact with the app, especially for those who frequently switch between different Meta platforms.
