Intel promises a revolution in performance and power efficiency in new Lunar Lake mobile processors

Intel has announced the upcoming launch of its new Core Ultra laptop chips, codenamed Lunar Lake. The official event will take place on the 3rd of September.

Here's What We Know

These chips are radically redesigned processors that promise significant improvements in power efficiency, performance, and graphics capabilities. Lunar Lake also features triple NPUs to support generative artificial intelligence applications.

Intel's new chips are designed to compete with Qualcomm and Apple chip-based laptops that offer longer battery life. Intel hopes that Lunar Lake will provide the optimal combination of performance and power efficiency to remain competitive in the market.

While the exact date when laptops with Lunar Lake chips will be available for sale is not yet known, Intel promises on 3 September to reveal more details about the revolutionary x86 energy efficiency of the new processors, exceptional core performance, huge leaps in graphics performance and unrivalled artificial intelligence computing power that will underpin this and future generations of Intel products.
