Samsung, the world's largest memory chip maker, could receive Nvidia certification for its new HBM3E chips by November 2024. This step brings the company closer to SK Hynix, which previously received a certificate for HBM3 chips.

Here's What We Know

Although Samsung has faced difficulties in certifying previous chips due to heat dissipation and efficiency, the company has denied these rumours.

Samsung's HBM3E chips could help expand its range in the artificial intelligence sector, where demand for high-speed memory is growing.

The company is also working on HBM4 (Snowbolt) chips, which could reach customers in 2025, with plans to start mass production in 2026, using a 4nm process.
