Angola has received its first Airbus C295 military transport aircraft
Airbus has handed over the first C295 military transport aircraft to the Angolan army.

The manufacturer told about it on the official website. The contract for the supply of aircraft was signed in 2022. In total, Angolia will receive three aircraft: one in transport modification and two for long-range patrolling.

The Airbus C295 is a multi-role tactical transport aircraft developed by Airbus Defence and Space. The C295 is capable of a wide range of missions including troop and cargo transport, medical evacuation and maritime patrol. The aircraft is powered by twin Pratt & Whitney Canada PW127G turboprop engines. It is highly manoeuvrable and can take off and land on short and unprepared runways.
The aircraft has a modular design. As a result, it is able to quickly adapt to different missions. The C295 can be equipped with advanced surveillance and weapon systems for special operations and reconnaissance missions. The C295 is in service with more than 30 countries.
