The Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra smartwatches have a variety of health monitoring features, from blood pressure to sleep tracking. One of the most important, however, is the new Sleep Apnea detection feature, which can be a real lifesaver.

Here's What We Know

This FDA-approved feature allows users to use Samsung Health Monitor to detect signs of obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) by monitoring their sleep for ten days. The feature is aimed at people over the age of 22 and can help detect signs of moderate to severe OSA after just two days of observation.

Obstructive sleep apnoea is a condition where breathing stops during sleep, which can lead to serious health problems, including heart disease and stroke. According to the National Sleep Foundation, approximately 25% of men and 10% of women in the United States suffer from OSA, often without a diagnosis.

The Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra can help to detect this dangerous condition earlier.
