Electronic Arts has announced the release date for Dragon Age: The Veilguard - it won't be long now
Electronic Arts and BioWare studio are actively promoting the RPG Dragon Age: The Veilguard, but so far they have not revealed its release date, limiting it to "the end of 2024".
Many gamers are sceptical about such a vague date, believing that the game will be postponed to 2025, but Electronic Arts is still determined to release the game within the specified time frame.
Here's What We Know
Electronic Arts has published a quarterly financial report that outlines the game release windows planned for this calendar year. And it states that Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be released between October and December inclusive.
In favour of Dragon Age: The Veilguard's imminent release is also the fact that Electronic Arts is forecasting a profit of $1.25 billion for the fourth quarter of the current fiscal year (which will end on March 31, 2025). Obviously, only one game from EA's announced catalogue can bring in that kind of money, and that's the new game from BioWare.
The game will be available on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series and will get Steam Deck compatibility right away.
Go Deeper:
- There's a lot to talk about in Dragon Age: The Veilguard: BioWare recorded 140,000 lines of dialogue for the new game, which took five years to complete.
- Dragon Age: The Veilguard will offer flexible difficulty levels and accessibility options - BioWare's new game will be accessible to all categories of users.
- Dragon Age: The Veilguard will not have imported saves, but players will be able to recreate their actions from past instalments of the series.
