Oura rings will help track the fertility window through body temperature

Oura is preparing a new feature for its smart rings that will allow users to track their fertility window. This option will use the body temperature data collected by the ring to make fertility predictions.

Here's What We Know

The new feature is based on body temperature data to help identify the best time to conceive. To get accurate predictions, users will need to wear the Oura ring for at least 60 nights and record the date of their last period.

Oura's current integration with the Natural Cycles app already uses temperature data to track menstrual cycles.

The fertility window being developed for Oura smart rings can work as a standalone option or as an addition to the existing integration with the Natural Cycles app.

If the feature is integrated with the data that users already have in Natural Cycles through their subscription, it is likely that the same subscription will be required to use it.

It is currently unknown whether a separate subscription will be required for the new feature. We'll have to wait for the official release to find out.
