Details about Google's new Pixel 9 Pro Fold foldable smartphone, the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold, continue to emerge on the internet.

Here's What We Know

This time, our colleagues at Android Headlines have shared the dimensions of the device. The gadget will get a body with dimensions of 155.2×77.1×10.5 mm in the folded state and 155.2×150.2×5.1 mm in the unfolded state. That is, the novelty will be 1.6 mm (folded) and 0.4 mm (unfolded) thinner than the Samsung Galaxy Fold 6. Also, the gadget will be slightly shorter and wider. Incidentally, the dimensions of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold are very similar to the OnePlus Open.

As for the weight, Google has reduced it by about 10 per cent compared to the original Pixel Fold. However, the gadget will still be one of the heaviest foldable devices on the market at 257 g. In comparison, the Honor Magic V3 weighs 226 g, the Samsung Galaxy Fold 6 weighs 239 g, and the OnePlus Open weighs 239 g.

Incidentally, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will come with an 8-inch main screen. The panel will get a resolution of 2152×2076p, a refresh rate of 120Hz and a peak brightness of 1600 nits. The outer panel will have the same matrix, but with a diagonal of 6.24 inches. The novelty should be powered by a Tensor G4 processor paired with 16GB of RAM. The gadget will also be equipped with a 48 MP + 10.5 MP + 10.5 MP + 10.5 MP main camera and two front sensors at 9.5 MP and 8 MP.

When We Can Expect It

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold will be released on the 13th of August. The smartphone will debut alongside the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL and other new products from Google.
