Flashback

NOMADS (Networked Offboard Mobile Active Defense System) is a promising air defence system, which was created by Kongsberg. The unit was developed for the defence of mobile ground facilities. The system is designed to integrate with different platforms and utilises networking capabilities to rapidly exchange target data. NOMADS is equipped with advanced sensors and radars to detect and track aerial objects such as drones, aircraft and missiles. The system is also capable of operating in complex electronic warfare environments.

Its modular design allows it to quickly adapt to changing threats and mission requirements. NOMADS can be deployed on a variety of vehicles, including trucks and armoured vehicles. Series production of the systems began this year.
