Virtuix has announced the launch of a device that could change the virtual reality gaming industry.

Here's What We Know

The Omni One device, which allows users in the US to fully and, most importantly, safely immerse themselves in virtual reality, has become available.

Omni One is a complex consisting of an omnidirectional treadmill, a secure body brace, a VR headset, two controllers and special shoes that reduce friction.

Omni One allows you to walk, run, squat, kneel, jump and move sideways without restrictions and in 360 degrees. All actions are absolutely safe for both the gamer and the surroundings.

The size of the device is 120cm wide, 150cm long, 120cm high and weighs 70kg. The Omni One is guaranteed to hold a person up to 192cm tall and 113kg in weight.

The platform is compatible with SteamVR and other headsets that connect to PCs.

It is important that in addition to the exciting gameplay, Omni One helps to monitor the health and physical condition of the user: a special application tracks steps, distance travelled and calories burned.

TheOmni One game catalogue includes both specially developed projects from Virtuix and licensed games from other VR platforms. We're sure the selection will grow over time.

For $14 per month, users will have access to network play and other online options.

The Omni One is priced at $2595 + shipping. For now, the platform is only available for US residents, but the developers plan to start selling in other regions from mid-2025.
