Blizzard has released a preview patch for World of Warcraft, which prepares the game for the release of The War Within expansion.

This event in itself is important for fans of the cult MMORPG, but the developers made it even more interesting.

Here's What We Know

In order for everyone to appreciate the innovations, Blizzard has launched a campaign of free access to the current version of World of Warcraft. Until the 5th of August, everyone who has ever paid for a subscription to WoW, can enter the game for free and find out what has changed in the game. And it must be said that a lot of things have changed, because the pre-patch has made significant changes to the system of heroes' development, abilities and talents, to the interface and many other elements of the game.

The developers have implemented one of the main innovations of World of Warcraft - the Squad System, which will allow to distribute resources, reputation, experience and other important elements to all characters on the player's account, so that they do not have to develop them separately and spend a huge amount of time on it.

During this campaign, all returning players will have access to the Dragonflight addon - it is included in the base version of World of Warcraft.

The game has no innovations related to the plot of The War Within, and new dungeons and locations, they will appear only with the release of the addon, which will be held on 26 August.
