According to the latest rumours, Apple is preparing a major front camera upgrade for the entire iPhone 17 lineup, which will be released in 2025. It is expected that instead of the current 12-megapixel sensor, the new models will get a 24-megapixel camera.

Here's What We Know

Analyst Jeff Pu claims that all iPhone 17 models, including the standard, Pro and Slim models, will feature a new camera. The new front-facing camera will feature six plastic lenses, one more than the iPhone 15 and this should improve the quality of photos and videos.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also predicts a 24-megapixel front camera for at least one iPhone 17 model. These rumours indicate that Apple is actively investing in improving the selfies and video capabilities in its future flagships. In addition to the camera upgrade, other major changes are expected in the iPhone 17 models and the possible arrival of an ultra-thin Slim model, where the emphasis will be more on design than performance.
