Galaxy Note 20 5G July 2024 security update now available for international version

Samsung is expanding the release of a security update for the Galaxy Note 20 5G to cover more regions. Initially, this update, which was released in July 2024, was only available for the carrier-unlocked variant.

Here's What We Know

The company is now rolling it out to the international version of the SM-N981B. The new firmware with version N981BXXSCHXG1 is already available in Asia, Europe, Australia, and the UK.

The update fixes 58 security issues. To get it, go to Settings, Software Update, Download & Install. You can also download the firmware from the database and install it via Odin.

Galaxy Note 20 5G was released in August 2020 with Android 10 (One UI 2.X). Major software updates have been completed with Android 13 (One UI 5.X).
