OnePlus is preparing to launch the new Ace 5, despite the recent release of the Ace 3 Pro. According to Digital Chat Station, the new product will receive a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and 100W wired charging, inheriting many characteristics from its predecessor.

Here's What We Know

The main change will be an increase in battery capacity: the new OnePlus Ace 5 will be equipped with two battery cells, each with a capacity of 3000 mAh. The total battery capacity will be around 6100 mAh thanks to this new design.

OnePlus has decided to skip the number 4 in the name of the new model due to cultural superstitions that consider the number 4 to be unlucky. Instead, the company will go directly to the name "Ace 5".

The display will remain a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED with 1240p resolution from BOE, but with no improvements over the Ace 2 Pro. The rear camera setup with three cameras, including a 50MP primary sensor, will remain unchanged. A new notification slider will be added, and the front panel will be slightly curved on all sides.

The OnePlus Ace 5 is expected to arrive by October, before the launch of the OnePlus 13, which promises a new chipset and improved specs.
