Nvidia has announced its intention to discontinue the production of its iconic RTX 3060 graphics card, which has gained great popularity among gamers since its release in February 2021. Rumours about this appeared on the Chinese forum Bobantang, and although the information has not yet been officially confirmed, the card will remain on sale for several more months until the distribution of existing stocks is completed.

Here's What We Know

Nvidia has already announced to partners that it is accepting the last orders for RTX 3060. This doesn't mean that the card will disappear from the market immediately: stock will continue to arrive in stores over the next few months, allowing customers to still have time to purchase this popular GPU.

The RTX 3060 was a significant upgrade over its predecessors and was a budget option for gamers who wanted to experience the benefits of Nvidia's Ampere architecture. It currently ranks first in the Steam Hardware Survey with a market share of 5.71%.

However, with the release of the new RTX 40 series, the RTX 4060 promises better performance for a similar price.
