Tomorrow (August 7) will see the release of Creatures of Ava, a colourful adventure game from 11 bit and Inverge Studios.

Gamers will have to save the flora and fauna of the planet Ava from a mysterious infection, explore different biomes, solve simple puzzles and take action to save animals.

Here's What We Know

Critics have already got acquainted with Creatures of Ava and published their reviews.

They stated that the game really turned out to be cute, meditative and quite entertaining. Critics praise the visuals and colourful world of the game, mechanics of research and taming animals. However, many note that Creatures of Ava is unlikely to hold the attention of players for a long time: it is predictable, slow and boring in its banality. That's why they recommend it first of all to Game Pass subscribers, where it is available for free.

Many experts have noticed that Creatures of Ava is a game that haphazardly combines mechanics and elements of different genres. Someone thinks this approach is right and points out the variety of situations and actions, and someone else thought that it looks too chaotic and idle.

At the same time, we should not forget that Creatures of Ava clearly has a deep subtext, the developers want to remind gamers about the need for a responsible approach to the use of natural resources and pollution.

As a result, the game received quite high scores, but critics are not ready to recommend it:

  • Opencritic - 79 points with 40% of recommendations;
  • Metacritic - 76 points (only on PC).

Creatures of Ava will be available on PC and Xbox Series.
